bangalore at its best
Q & A session on bangalore would probably go like this....Yes bangalore? - No.. No bangalore? - maybe. Maybe bangalore?? - Pass....
Inspite of the babe count and cool weather bangalore doesnt really represent a heaven on earth for some reasons..And I will elaborate only on one of them.. and the biggest of them. Traffic.
1. Starters...
For one riding in bangalore is not a pleasant experience..The exact route for both up and down the journey needs to be known. Its not enough if u know the way to a place. The way back could be much different from the way to the same place. Thanks to the innumerable one ways in the place. Reminds me of Abhimanyu and the chakravyuh!!
2. Start disrespecting the rules and traffic police
Yeah. Just do it. They dont bother and you shouldnt too. Red lights are assumed to turn green any second and people in bangalore dont wait for things to happen(they make things happen!).
3. Wear smoke masks..
If you are travelling at about 8-9 am/pm you are sure to suffer from asthmatic problems if you dont provide for gas masks. Sometimes visibility is hampered but it happens only sometimes :).
4. Walk at your own risk.
These motorcyclists are mountain bikers..they dont think twice to climb over a pedestrain and honk behind a couple of old people walking peacefully, to get past a bus/car.
5. Keep eyes closed.
Oh yes. Keep 'em closed. It doesnt make a difference. You safegaurd your eyes from dust and smoke and follow all rules of bangalore traffic at the same time(there are none).
6. Watch out for auto-turns.
Auto rickshaws are capable of making 360 degree turns within a small turning radius and auto drivers are probably licensed to make such alarming turns without prior notice. It is less fatal to give way to an auto rather than give him a race. They always win.
Also if you are sitting inside an auto, hold on tight and stay as far away as possible to the door/window.
In all there's only one word to describe the traffic here..."geeb up"
PS: Rahul Dravid did not get his name "jammy" because he was from bangalore.
